WTF Friday Rant Volume 1 Issue 30

First off, I want to express my support to the people of London and the entire United Kingdom while they deal with the latest attack by the chickenshit Islamofascists. Thank God, they could not mix the explosives correctly and only the detonators went off. Folks get ready because like it or not these type of cowardly attacks will come to the United States soon then later. I have a short message for these sub-human hijackers of Islam, run and hide assholes because if you carry out another attack against the United States there will be no place on this planet for you to flee. Now to the moderate Muslims in the world, get off your freaking asses and pick a side! Either you condone the attacks and support their purpose or you step up and take back your religion from these terrorists. Make a choice and make it known to the world!

Now since I have gotten that off my chest on to the craziness that is the WTF Friday Rant, now in its thirtieth edition. Catch the audio edition here and as always, have a great weekend everyone.

New Yorkers tell NYPD, “Hands Off”
It seems that even in the wake of a second round of terrorist bombings in London some residents of New York do not think that random searches of bags and backpacks are a good idea. Even the Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, is talking about minimizing the inconvenience for mass transit riders. Hello? People wake the F**k up! These types of attacks are going to happen eventually and if a few minutes of being inconvenienced saves some lives in the end then it is just too damn bad. I am glad I do not live in New York, the unchecked political correctness and rampant liberalism/socialism would drive to drink or worse.

Why yes it is, hot in Phoenix, but it is a dry heat
Ok, it has been a little warm in Phoenix of late but most of this “story” is being created by the MSM. Here is the formula, new residents + bored local media = Damn its hot story. I have lived in Phoenix for almost 5 years and it does not seem any hotter then the past four summers I have spent here so everyone just chill out.

Hiroshima bomb meant to impress Soviets, killing Japanese was side effect according to scientists
According to a couple of nut job scientists, Truman really dropped the bomb on Japan to impress the Soviets and kick off the cold war. The fact that the bombs killed a few Japanese and helped convince them to surrender is completely disregarded.

Hatch calls Schumer on his “Dumbass Questions”, white old guy battle royal ensues
Chuckie Schumer was so hostile during Judge Roberts’s recent confirmation to the DC Circuit Court that Orrin Hatch told him to shut up with his “dumbass questions”. Way to go Orrin.

New York Times screws the pooch for Hillary
On Sunday the New York Times ran a piece about the new Edward Klein book and stated that the book was struggling and doing poorly. Seems the news arm of the New York Times does not talk to the literary arm since Klein’s book is still on the New York Times Bestseller list for a fourth week, and on top of that it’s still in the top 10. Hmmmmm.

Los Angeles Times cements place as America’s scummiest newspaper
The LA Times ran an article on the abortion views of Judge Roberts’s wife yesterday. So are Supreme Court nominees to be judged by the views of their family members? How low does the Left plan to go? In my humble opinion, there are a few lines in politics that should never be crossed and dragging a person’s wife or family is one of those lines.

The Mormons got this one right, stockpile food
Politicians are telling us that the United States food supply is at risk for terrorist attack. Seems to me that the terrorists may have thought of this already so it is no new news but what I want to know is what these same politicians are doing to prevent attacks and protect the food supply.

Government encouraging Illegal Aliens to get home mortgages
What can I really say about this? Are we that desperate to keep the housing boom going? Only in America, I guess.

Canada joins the illegal drug trade with its very own cross-border tunnel
Feds wait 8 months to bust the people building this tunnel and still cannot trace the money trail or confirm what the tunnel was going to be used for once it was completed. Couldn’t be terrorists coming in from Canada eh? Nah, crossing from Mexico is still too easy to force a move north.

Tremble before the electronic warfare might of Venezuela
Seems that Chavez does not like the fact that the House approved the United States broadcasting radio messages of freedom to his little dictatorship. Maybe he should have thought about that before he started dissing the United States and acting like a serious Jackass.

Jews flee France ahead of Muslim invasion and wave of anti-Semitic attacks
Whatever happen to the tolerant French? Oh that's right they are only tolerant of themselves and anyone who shares their hated of the United States.

Apple saves Music industry, Jobs waiting for thank you
You know if Jobs has half the ego that he is rumored to, he is actually sitting around waiting for a thank you from the recording industry. Well if he thinks that podcasters are going to kiss his feet because of iTunes 4.9, he has another thing coming.

Democrats look to push Rove issue, they never got the memo on innocent until proven guilty and their TPS reports suck
The vocal minority of the Democratic Party, namely the MoveOn.org, Michael Moore crowd, is pressuring moderates to push the Rove issue regardless of any other pressing issues. Yes, that is a winning hand, that strategy and 5 bucks will get you a venti soymilk mocha latte.

The Indoctrination of the mentally unprepared courtesy of the Religion of Peace

Seems that at certain colleges, classes on the Middle East are nothing more then recruiting forums for Islamofascists radicals posing as professors as they hunt for the latest Johnny Jihad. This is not a new story but the link leads to a very interesting account of one such class on one such campus.

State sponsored curbing of Free Speech

Washington State University pays its students to shout down the free speech of students or groups that are on the University’s hit list. Boy, someone read “Mein Kampf” a few too many times. I thought Washington State’s mascot was the cougar and not the brownshirt?

Political Correctness strikes again, “deferred success” is the new failed

Now a teacher’s group is suggesting that telling a student that he or she has failed could have lifelong learning implications. Therefore, they are proposing that students be told that they have achieved “deferred success” rather then failure. It is the nature of the human race to learn from its mistakes so if we are never faced with failure and are greeted with “deferred success” then what will we learn? The truth is that some kids are going to fail and just think how bad it is going to mess them up in the head if they never realize their “deferred success”.

Blogburst: Death to the ACLU

The ACLU and Terrorism Today

There are many examples of how the ACLU opposes efforts by our government to fight terrorism, and how they show support towards the enemy today.

A few examples of this are the ACLU's opposition to the no-fly list, border control, and the CFC Watch List which would require charities to check their employees and expenditures against several government watch lists for "terrorist activities".

But one issue in particular catches my attention. In October of 2004, the ACLU turned down $1.15 million in funding from two of it's most generous and loyal contributors, the Ford and Rockefeller foundations, saying new anti-terrorism restrictions demanded by the institutions make it unable to accept their funds.

"The Ford Foundation now bars recipients of its funds from engaging in any activity that "promotes violence, terrorism, bigotry, or the destruction of any state."

The Rockefeller Foundation's provisions state that recipients of its funds may not "directly or indirectly engage in, promote, or support other organizations or individuals who engage in or promote terrorist activity."Source

Does this strike anyone else as odd? The ACLU states that the language of the grants are too vague and could have a "chilling effect" on civil liberties. Vague? I don't know how the organizations could have been more clear. They didn't want thier money going to support or promote terrorist activity. The ACLU obviously had a problem with this.

So what does the ACLU use its money to do?

Ben Johnson of Front Page Magazine points out:

The ACLU has also shown itself a willing tool of the terrorists, waging a massive anti-anti-terrorism legal campaign. This pillar of the legal Left denounced the government's requirement that men aged 16-25 holding "temporary visas" from nations with known ties to terrorism register with the INS; represented Sami al-Arian, the North American fundraiser and co-founder of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (filing a brief upholding his inalienable right to fresh briefs!); rallied on behalf of convicted al-Qaeda benefactor Maher Mofeid Hawash; urged local communities not to cooperate with federal anti-terror investigations; and opposed the FBI's monitoring Islamist mosques. As David Horowitz notes in his book Unholy Alliance, radical Center for Constitutional Rights lawyer Ron Kuby notes the "passionate...identification" most lawyers feel with their clients, such as that of convicted terror enabler Lynne Stewart for World Trade Center bomber Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman. Given her aid for international Islamic terrorism, the government is right to keep a watchful eye on those who perpetually side with the enemy.Front Page Magazine

One of the most revealing occurances towards the ACLU's absolutist position on national security and its recent evolution can be seen in the action the board of directors took at its Oct 1989 meeting: It dropped section (a) from its policy, "Wartime Sedition Act." Before, the ACLU held that it "would not participate (save for fundamental due process violations) in defense of any person believed to be "cooperating" with or acting on behalf of the enemy." This policy was based on the recognition that "our own military enemies are now using techniques of propaganda which may involve an attempt to prevent the Bill of Rights to serve the enemy rather than the people of the United States." In making its determination as to whether someone were cooperating with the enemy, "the Union will consider such matters as past activities and associations, sources of financial support, relations with enemy agents, the particular words and conduct involved, and all other relevant factors for informed judgement."

All of this has now been dropped from the official ACLU Policy. Twilight Of Liberty

The absolute tragedy is that it is not only the nations's security the ACLU's absolutist philosophy puts in danger, but the very cause of liberty itself.

I don't know about you, but positions like this makes me suspicious of the ACLU's intentions, and what their money goes towards. As a matter of fact, I've shown you a history of how they use their funds to defend terrorists, and they still do so today. The sad thing is they are using your tax money to do so.

The United States Congress, roughly thirty years ago, passed a provision in United States Code section 1988 that requires taxpayers to pay attorneys in civil rights cases. I don't want my tax money supporting an organization that defends terrorists organizations and the sworn enemies of the United States.

Please join me in signing this Petition To Stop Taxpayer Funding of The ACLU

Time For Another Berlin Airlift?

In this great country called the United States, we hold that freedom is one of the highest ideals that we can export to the world. Given the bloody birth of this country, it should not surprise anyone that we are willing in many cases to lay our lives down in order for others to achieve freedom. The United States, along with France, has stood behind the people of Lebanon as they have thrown off the chains of their Syrian masters and marched toward a free and democratic country. Now as Lebanon faces challenges along the road, will we support them as actively as we do the people of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Lebanon now facing a growing economic crisis thanks to Syrian in large part. Lebanon shares borders with Israel and Syrian and since the border with Israel has been closed for the past 57 years, the only land route is through Syria. On a regular day, almost 300 truckloads of Lebanese products move across the border with Syria. Since the Syrians have stepped up truck inspections, the number allowed across the border has dropped to less then 50. Some trucks have been waiting at the border for up to ten days and the queues for inspection now stretch up to 12km.

As tensions mount along the border, some report that just the farming industry is losing up to $300,000 a day and losses could make a sharp dent into Lebanon's exports, which amounted to $1.7 billion last year. It would seem that not only are the Syrians willing to kill any Lebanese leaders opposed to their pervious rule but also now are willing to strangle the Lebanese economy. The interesting spin being dished by Syria is that they are simply complying with the request by the United States to taken their border security seriously since there is a flood of foreign terrorists moving through Syria to Iraq.

Interesting that Syria is trying to shift the blame to the United States for their latest actions against the fledgling democracy in Lebanon. Something must be done to help the Lebanese in this latest challenge to their freedom and since the French and the United States have been the primary backers of the Lebanese democracy, we must be the first to step up. The French may or may not hang with us on this, their motivations in the Middle East remain to be seen. The United States needs to step up pressure on the Syria government to ease the “inspections” on Lebanese commerce shipments, as well as put an end to the murder of anti-Syria politicians. If the slowing of shipments does not stop by Syria, could it be a good time to consider a modern version of the Berlin airlift? Have a great day everyone and remember to grab my latest podcast here.

Al-Qaida's Nuclear Target List Disclosed

More and more it seems that there might be something to the story of Russian suitcase nukes being in the United States. According to a report on WorldNetDaily, captured Al-Qaeda documents include a supposed hit list of American cities and it may include New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Boston and Washington, D.C. New York and Washington. I do not know if these information is correct but if I lived in one of those cities, I would seriously give a second thought to being home on any of the dates mentioned in the article that is linked to above.

The mere fact that this is even a possibility is an indication that the policy of not enforcing immigration laws and pretending to have an “open” border for the last 50 years has not worked. The time is going to come when we may be forced to place United States military units on our borders and while I think that is a good idea in the short term we have to come up with a solution to protect this country while streamlining the process to legally immigrate to the United States.

Recently Senator John Kyl of Arizona and Senator John Cornyn of Texas introduced a new bill that if passed would provide a large increase of both manpower and funding to the Border Patrol while at the same time streamlining the process for verification of citizenship by employers and creates a temporary worker program. The interesting part of the bill is that if passed it would require all illegals to return to their home country within a period of 5 years before they could reapply for legal status. Thus, all illegals would in a small way be punished for breaking the law when they came here and placed at the back of the line for U.S. citizenship. The one thing I do not see in the details of the bill is how exactly we are going to enforce the “return to home country”. However, since the bill was just introduced today, I suspect that point will be hammered out in debate.

Is This What We Want From A Potenial President?

The effectiveness of the Clinton machine is frankly amazing sometimes. Of course, it does help when you have all your leftist/socialist friends running the various MSM outlets. Hillary’s orders to suppress the new Klein book about her have gone out and the MSM is marching in lockstep to her directives. I have another take on this women’s power over the media.

Reverse the situation and think about if President Bush had such power over the media to crush a feeble little book about him. Why the Democrats and their free speech advocates would be screaming from on high about how unfair and wrong it is for a person to exhibit such control over the free press. Therefore, where is the outrage when Hillary calls in some favors and the MSM walks away from a potential story? Call me naiveté but is it not the job of the press to report news, especially when it concerns a sitting United States Senator?

Is this really the kind of person that we want as President of the United States? Someone who at the drop of a hat is willing to head off potentially bad news with a call to her funkies in the MSM? For spending her adult life in politics, Hillary sure has a thin skin for criticism. I have nearly read the entire Klein book and I cannot say it breaks any new ground nor can I figure out what has Hillary so upset. The book draws largely from public sources as well as the efforts by other authors to document the Clinton political machine. Certainly, everyone has a basic desire to be liked and thus does not want to endure people speaking or writing ill of one’s self but come on! Hillary, you need to grow up and learn to take the good with the bad like everyone else. If the stuff in Klein’s books was not correct or true then just sue him, after all that is slowly becoming the American way.

Charge Vicente Fox With Murder!

As the heat rises here in Arizona so does the death toll from illegal immigrants dieing as they attempt to cross the desert to make a better life. A better life that has been encouraged by their own government through the printing of a “How to” guide on how to break U.S. immigration law. What can we say about a country, supposedly an ally, which encourages its citizens to break the law and yet salivates at the prospect of even more money flowing back to government coffers?

We could say that this county is not worthy of our friendship and that our foreign aid to it represents a wasted investment. Yes, for those on the short bus, I am talking about Mexico. Vicente Fox and his corrupt government as much to blame as the “coyotes” who lead these people in to the desert and in many cases leave them to die.

To that end, I would call on the lefties to crawl out from under your rocks, contact Amnesty International and charge Vicente Fox with murder in the World Court. Surely, we can find some bleeding heart group to take of the case of these people? Wait, I have a better idea. How about all the folks that are headed north to the United States, turn around and head home to Mexico. When they get there, they should vote out the corrupt and work to fix their country so they do not have to come north for a better life. Seems to me that they would garner a whole heck of a lot more support from people around the world for taking a stand and fighting for a better Mexico then running off to the United States and leaving the problem behind for others to suffer through or attempt to fix. Just my opinion.

Kerry's Form 180: The Blogburst Edition

Image: LindaSog.com

Months and months after Kerry’s loss to George W. Bush, it’s somewhat gratuitous to point out how hard it can be to get a clear, straight answer from Kerry on this or any other issue. As long as the Senator believes he has a shot at another presidential run, the candor gap remains on the table, because he puts it there.

On one hand, he seems to have concluded that Democrats have a ‘’branding” problem, much like a company selling razor blades. The Democratic Party, said Kerry, needs ‘’a new brand. That’s the challenge.” For 25 years, he said, Democrats did not fight negative branding by their opponents. As a result, he said, Democrats are now labelled as ‘’tax, spend, weak, things like that.”

Later, Kerry said, ‘’Let me be crystal clear. We do not have to reformulate or redefine the Democratic Party. I’m tired of hearing that the Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything.” The party, he said, stands for healthcare for every single American; public education that works and gets the necessary resources, with strict accountability; foreign policy that demonstrates both strength and respect for multinationalism; a tax structure that is fair; protecting the environment, and energy independence.

Interesting, Monsieur Kerry. So which is it? Brand or re-brand? That is the question. I suppose it depends on what day of the week it is, what kind of mood you’re in, or who the audience is–what your response is. This kind of wishy-washy namby pamby response is precisely the reason why we keep hammering on the same point:

You promised the American people on Russert’s Show Meet the Press, that you’d release your military records. Release them to the American people the way Bush did, Mr. Kerry. If you need to call someone in the Bush administration to find out how it’s done, drop them a line. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to assist. Or you can release them to me. I’d be happy to share that information with the American people: unedited and unadorned, with no apologies or coverups of–for example-the truth behind the 6-year delay between your exit from the military and your Honorary Discharge.

Kerry made a juvenile attempt at getting the heat off of himself and trying to turn the tables on John O’Neill by demanding that HE fill out his form 180. But John has nothing to hide and is perfectly prepared to do so.

Kerry’s Senate offices could not provide a copy of the Kerry SF 180 and would not answer inquiries. Is it possible that Kerry filled it out wrong or sent it to the wrong place?

John O’Neill made Kerry an offer:

“I’ll be happy to bring one to Kerry’s office and help him fill it out. And then we can take mine and his and deliver them to the right place together to make sure, as Kerry puts it, ‘the truth in its entirety will come out.’ “

There are just a few questions we have that we’d like to see cleared up before the next election.

There is nothing magic about signing a SF 180,” said former Naval Judge Advocate General Mark Sullivan. “It is sort of like your checkbook. You can fill out a check for one dollar or a million. It is the same check form.”

“And the Globe story says Kerry sent it to the Navy Personnel Command, which is only a limited storage location. So it is not surprising that the Globe then notes that what they received was largely ‘duplication’ of records previously released. The Navy Personnel Command primarily stores a subset of service records rather than a person’s full military records. There is no doubt there are a lot of after-action records missing from what Kerry has released,” said Sullivan.

Washington Post reporter Michael Dobbs has already found a discrepancy confirmed by the Department of the Navy of “at least a hundred pages” missing from those already disclosed by Kerry.

Kerry insists ‘’The truth in its entirety will come out . . . the truth will come out.”

Signing Form 180 is the first step. Releasing his entire military record to the public is the second.

We are still waiting.

Schumer and Clinton tell America "Do As We Say, Not As We Do"

The double standard, the art of hypocrisy, do as I say not as I do, these are the core value of any self-respecting member of the Democratic Party. Folks, sometimes I wonder aloud why the Democrats make it so easy and then I just thank God for their lack of any coherent intelligence. Just a short few weeks ago, Hillary Clinton, junior senator from New York and likely Democrat nominee for President in 2008, criticized President Bush over his plans and policies for immigration reform and border security. So one would expect Hillary to continue her conservative makeover and press the issue over border security so that she might dup as many people as possible before her expected run for the presidency in less then two years.

Nope, Hillary reverted to her liberal/leftist/socialist roots and joined other notable Democrat senators in voting down funding to increase the number of border patrol agents and detention beds along our southern border. The reason given by Ms. Clinton and her devotees in the Senate was that the funding for such increases was not clear and could have potentially taken money away from local law enforcement and other first responders. The first amendment to the Homeland Security spending bill was proposed by Senator John Ensign from Nevada and it called for the hiring of an additional 1,000 border patrol agents, you can read the test of the amendment here. Nowhere in the text of that amendment does it mention taking funding from local authorities, never the less it failed passage by a margin of 60-38 with Senators Schumer, Kerry and Biden joining the Mistress of Evil in her no vote.

The second amendment called for an increase of detention beds by 5,760 and was proposed by Senator John McCain from Arizona. You can read the test of the amendment here. Unfortunately, this amendment failed to pass as well and was defeated by a margin of 56-42. It is worth noting that only one Democrat had enough sense to vote for both bills, Senator Ken Salazar of Colorado. The Democrats really should work at getting a little better at talking out of both sides of their mouths, this is the most blatant example of their desire to appear hawkish on national security yet voting like the coward donkeys they are, see above picture.

These amendments would have helped end the “catch and release” policy that currently exists on the border for “other then Mexican” illegals caught by the border patrol. I guess Chuck Schumer is just trying to stay on the good side of New York voters since they just returned him to the Senator in 2004. Seems that in the “Battle of Pork” the state of New York loses out to states that are actually along the southern border. Well, in my humble opinion, funding for border patrol and the securing of our borders is never pork and the “good” senator from New York needs to stop playing politics with the security of this nation and the lives of its citizens.

As far as Hillary’s motivation in voting against the amendments, one can only guess since she or her office has yet to response to inquires from various press outlets and this humble blogger. Given Hillary’s, deep-seated hated of the internet and the free speech it represents I was not surprised to not receive an email or call from her spokesperson. The vote is surprising since just this past December she stated, “I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants.” Hmmm, consider her choice of words in the previous statement. She is against illegal immigrants. Most people who are opposed to illegal immigration do not have anything against the actual illegals but from her quote, it certainly seems as though Hillary has a personal grudge against the illegal immigrants. Could it be because they are generally hard-working people simply looking to escape the feeble economic system that they languished under back in their countries? My goodness Hillary that is not a very politically correct statement not to mention one that seems to have serious racial undertones. I guess that is why her friends over at the New York Times felt it was necessary to clean up her quote before including it in a tribute to the “Evolution of Hillary Clinton”. The original quote by Hillary appears here and even after Newsmax pointed out the quick-change job, the New York Times has yet to print any correction that I am aware of or could find online.

It remains clear that Hillary Clinton and her allies in the senate and the MSM have no real interest in the security of this nation. In fact, I would dare say that unless something changes to threaten their power, they will not change. The people who vote for these yellow spined Democrats need to pull their collective heads out of the sand or their asses, whichever you prefer to use, before there is another horrific terrorist attack upon this nation. I had hope for the MSM after they were targeted with the anthrax attacks back in 2002 but I guess they have become complacent like many in this country. Folks, if we do not wake up and demand action from Washington on these national security issues we may wake up one morning to reports of widespread suicide bombings or worse a WMD attack. Everyone have a great day and remember you can access the podcast edition of this blog right here.

WTF Friday Rant Volume 1 Issue 29

Oh my gosh is it really Friday already? Well I have quite a few links that deserve a few seconds of consideration and I present them for your review dear readers. I also have done a podcast version of the WTF Friday Rant that is available here. I am not sure how well it translates to an audio version but why not eh? Enjoy the links and as always, have a great weekend.

Hillary gets crazy about sex and decides to play games

Now I am quite sure the Senate and the House of Representatives have a few more pressing matters then whether or not a mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas allows players to have video game sex. Let me suggest a few: terrorism, border security, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, China, Social Security, Supreme Court, need I go on? I have a piece of advice for the junior Senator from New York buy yourself the game and get some you know that Bill is.

China will Nuke United States over Taiwan

So China thinks that the 32,260 Square Mile Island of Taiwan is worth starting a nuclear war with the United States. It may only be the opinion of one general but it just reinforces my thought that Taiwan is not worth a war with China.

Rove makes on to Democrat hit list but once again, John Kerry gets a pass

So Rove goes under oath to the grand jury and testifies that he actually got the undercover CIA Agent’s name from Robert Novak but the lefties are still calling for his head. Now John Kerry blows an acting undercover agent’s cover and everyone turns his or her head and looks away. In fact, he reverted to the grade school excuse that one of his colleagues had already used the agents name so he was not the one who started it.

New York City prepares for possible suicide bombers

New York police are starting to warn and prepare NYC residents that they could be the next target of terrorist suicide bombers. Folks, sadly it is only a matter of time and not if it will happen.

British Bombing Accomplices still at large

Reports out of Britain point to at least two accomplices to the London bombers still at large amid one of the largest manhunts in England’s history. I completely believe that the British will find these people and if it does prove that they have Pakistani ties then Pakistan have some explaining to do.

Support for OBL wanes among Muslim Nations

Seems the policy of blowing up fellow Muslims with suicide bombers and improvised explosive devices is wearing a little thin with the Muslim masses. Gee, could it be attributed to the good that the United States and other Western Nations are doing in the Middle East? I think it might.

Russian Nukes Hidden in the United States?

I know that this story have been floating around the internet for a couple of years but interest is really starting to pick up due to the blogsphere and a few MSM outlets. There are even plans to have congressional hearings. This story has just enough truth to it that it seems possible and should scare the Hell out of every American.

Kwanzaa equals Marxism?

Seems that the “Seven principals of Blackness” in the invented holiday of Kwanzaa directly mirror the Marxist precepts of parity and proletariat unity. Seems that after Hallmark rejected the holiday idea the founder stumbled into a Worker’s Party meeting and had a “moment of clarity”. Only in America, I guess.

Paul Begala performs Vulcan mind-meld with Michael Moore before speech to young liberals, speaks in leftist tongues.

Paul Begala made a speech to some young liberals and claimed that Republicans lowered taxes for the rich so that he and his children could be killed. Man where do these people get these ideas? Well I guess this is just further proof that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Mexico plays the thug and looks to blackmail U.S. over immigration reform.

Recently a former Mexican government official that is running for President again Vicente Fox, testified before Congress and stated that Mexico is not willing to help secure the US/Mexico border unless we grant amnesty for the 6 million Mexicans already living here illegally. Hold on folks that is not all this person is also calling for the additional allowance of 5 million additional Mexicans over the next 10 years. I would suggest that we politely tell Mexico to kiss our ass and simply shut down our border, even if it means withdrawing from NAFTA and not passing CAFA. We can do without allies that only wish to further their own goals. True allies work together to benefit each other. Looks like Mexico is going the route of the French.

American Businesses break their backs to cater to illegal immigrants

Some of the things that illegal immigrants can do without legal United States identification will shock you, as well as the companies that are doing the business.

  • Wells Fargo & Co. has more than half a million matricula accounts - most of them, the company acknowledges, opened by undocumented aliens.
  • In all, more than 400 banks, thrifts and credit unions, including Bank of America Corp. and Citigroup, now accept a matricula as a valid ID.
  • Blue Cross of California sells health insurance to matricula holders from desks set up inside Mexican and Guatemalan consular offices in the U.S.
  • Sprint and Verizon both offer cell phone service to matricula holders.
  • Home mortgages taken out by illegal aliens could be worth up to $60 billion over the next five years, Business Week reports.
  • Kraft Foods Inc. provides workbooks at local English as a second language classes that include coupons for Kraft products, such as Capri Sun drinks.
  • The Los Angeles department store chain La Curacao offers credit cards to undocumented Latino immigrants with a matricula and has issued nearly 1 million so far.

Catch and Release only works in Hunting and Fishing

The Border Patrol policy about people entering this country is broken. If an illegal is Mexican, then he or she is taken back across the border as soon as possible. However if an illegal is from a country “other then Mexico” then the illegal is written a ticket and given a deportation hearing court date. According to the latest statistics, 87% of these folks never show for their hearings and if they do, it takes an average of 89 days to deport the individual. Now if any of these “other then Mexican” illegals are seeking to do this country harm, 89 days is a long time to do some evil. Everyone that crosses into this country illegally needs to be deported as soon as possible, even if it requires a jail stay for non-criminal individuals.

Killer avoided deportation due to lack of resources at ICE

I had recently talked and wrote about the recent triple homicide in Queen Creek, Arizona that has been attributed to an illegal immigrant. I had mentioned on my podcast and on this site that this illegal was a convicted felon yet never was deported. Now we know that it was due to the lack of resources on the part of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement department. Again, when are we going to demand some accountability from our leaders in regards to illegal immigrants and immigration reform?

According to a report on Space.com, scientists have found a planet with three suns. Interesting, I guess that lends credibility to the planet used for filming the first Riddick movie, Pitch Black.

Blogburst: Death to the ACLU

This week's blogburst courtsey of Gribbit and Lee Ellis, thanks guys.

The Future Supreme Court – Legislative or Constitutional?

Lee Ellis

Regarding the Supreme Court openings, why do we keep hearing politicians and guests on talk or news shows asking our President to appoint men or women who will lean across the aisle to unite the Congress or the nation?

The purpose of a Supreme Court judge is NOT to follow the dictates of other politicians, NOT to follow a conservative or liberal policy, NOT to follow the current or the past rulings of other judges, other documents, letters or the Constitutions of other nations such as France, but rather to adhere to the American Constitution, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph.

One does not lean across any aisle in order to compromise on the America founded by our forefathers, to convert what made this nation great as a free Republic to the kind of socialistic system that has almost destroyed some European nations and other formerly great countries.

We elected President George W. Bush to protect this country, to preserve the America we love, to keep America as the Republic it was founded to be. We did not elect Kennedy, Schumer, Biden, Boxer, Reid, or Pelosi to make the final decisions as to whom the judicial guardians of our Constitution should be for the next decade or two!

Yes, Congress does advise and consent with an up and down vote, but not with a filibuster or a refusal to allow a full vote. The choice of a federal judge appointee has always been with, and should remain, the domain of the Executive branch of government led by the President of the United States of America.

Will our Supreme Court once again be a Constitutional one, or will it rival Congress as a new Legislative branch? It is up to us to back the President’s choice of Supreme Court judges who will defend and protect the true meaning of our most revered document, the American Constitution!

Lee Ellis is a retired journalist and narrator, formerly with both CBS and Gannett (USA Weekend). He was also a combat veteran of WWII, having fought in the South Pacific invasions. He had the pleasure of interviewing Ronald Reagan as an actor and then later working to help him become Governor of California. At the age of 80, he is keeping busy writing and doing free lance narrations for radio and television. He is an active member of Rotary and the VFW.

Wonderful piece. This is a great man. A wonderful journalist and commentator. I encourage everyone to bookmark this link and read his stuff regularly.

Thank you Mr. Ellis. Your material is truly a pleasure to read.

Here’s the point campers… The American Civil Liberties Union, with encouragement from the liberal political icons in this nation, is taking advantage of an activist court. And the ultra liberals in the Senate need to follow tradition. The Senators of the Dumocrap party need to vote their conscience based on the qualifications of the nominees not follow the ultra liberal dogma of people like Teddy the Lush and Harry the moron. That is the point that Mr. Ellis is making. But he, unlike me, has the kind of manners that make him diplomatic.

I on the on the other hand, have the kind of manners that won’t allow me to allow the perpetuation of a system that destroys the values, tenants, and ideology that this nation was founded upon.

The ACLU is the most evil organization in the nation. And their ability to destroy this nation is at stake. So I’m calling on the Senate to do their job. Take a look at the nominee. Vote on the qualifications of the nominee. Don’t look at this as an issue to further your own political aspirations. It will probably backfire on you.

Teddy the lush and Harry the moron will oppose anyone nominated for the job. These individuals live in a fantasy world where the “Great Society” actually worked. Teddy has an excuse though. He hasn’t been sober since John got killed in Dallas. Harry? I think his brain is stuck at a Las Vegas Crap Table. So don’t follow them!

Kerry's Form 180: The Blogburst Edition

Image: LindaSog.com

Yes folks, it’s that time again. And guess what? After all the smoke and mirrors, the situation with Kerry’s 180 is pretty much the same.

While Kerry claims to have signed his 180, there are many of us who are still unimpressed. The Boston Globe seemed unimpressed also The records were: mostly a duplication of what Kerry released during his 2004 campaign for president, including numerous commendations from commanding officers who later criticized Kerry’s Vietnam service.

Not to mention that they were released to the guy who wrote his bio, for cripe’s sake.

Michelle Malkin aptly says “the spin continues“.

Marc Landers at USS Neverdock wonders what exactly the paper got:

…We need someone else to do a Form 180 request and we need to know if Kerry signed Part III of that form.

Mark Coffey at Decision 08 offers an alternative explanation: Maybe he did release the full records and he’s just the stupidest politician alive.

John O’Neill told Matt Margolis he has some questions about this, too.

We called for Kerry to execute a form which would permit anyone to examine his full and unexpulgated [sic] military records at the Navy Department and the National Personnel Records Center. Instead he executed a form permitting his hometown paper to obtain the records currently at the Navy Department. The Navy Department previously indicated its records did not include various materials.

This is hardly what we called for. If he did execute a complete release of all records we could then answer questions such as

(1)Did he ever receive orders to Cambodia or file any report of such a mission (whether at Christmas or otherwise);

(2) What was his discharge status between 1970 and 1978 (when he received a discharge) and was it affected by his meetings in 1970 and 1971 with the North Vietnamese?

(3)why did he receive much later citations for medals purportedly signed by Secretary Lehman who said he did not know of them;

(4) Are there Hostile Fire and Personnel Injured by Hostile Fire Reports for Kerry’s Dec. 1968 Purple Heart (when the officer in charge of the boat Admiral Schacte, the treating Surgeon Louis Letson, and Kerry’s Division Commander deny there was hostile fire causing a scratch) awarded three months later under unknown circumstances. ‘

Kit points out that the Form 180 gives you the option to get a “deleted” copy, which leaves out the reasons for separation and reenlistment eligibility code. Kerry must really think we’re stupid.

So here we go again.

For those of you who keep wondering why we’re pursuing this, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect someone who’s been a Senator for 20 years to tell the truth, and especially someone who ran for president on the platform that he is a war hero so he was “reporting for doody”. Even General Eisenhower didn’t do that.

I urge you all, write to Kerry, fax to kerry, protest his faux “release” and keep blogging away and use the “OHB” standard to beat the hell out of press and media outlets for shirking their responsibilities and thus further erode what little trust remains of an otherwise noble craft called journalism. I, for one, am not going to let this go. Civil servants own the public trust and should be worthy of it–they’re getting paid with our tax dollars. Traits like honesty should be the least of what we get from this–and we shouldn’t allow him to get away with this without a lot of noise in the blogosphere.

Remember, there are some serious questions about his “war hero” claims which would be set to rest if he’d just release the damned records like we asked. Now he’s doing a tap dance around the issue, and a sleight of hand.

There is evidence out there about the question of his discharge. Beldar Blog has a post up which shows the documentation -at Kerry’s campaign website and adds it up for us. So many questions still unanswered, Mr. Kerry, you slippery guy, you!

Hillary Plays the Part of Neville Chamberlain

Hillary Clinton seems to be really searching for herself these days. On the topic of North Korea, she seems to want to play the role of Neville Chamberlain. She recently co-authored an Op-Ed piece in the Washington Post with an equally bad Senator, Carl Levin from Michigan. I grew up in Michigan so I know how terrible a senator that Levin has been, but that is another post for another time. In their join effort in the Washington Post, the two senators make the case for appeasement of North Korea through the suggested offer of yet another aid package to North Korea.

The cost to North Korea for this aid package? Simply return to the bargaining table and resume the 6-nation talks about the North Korean nuclear program. Just my opinion but that does not seem like a fair bargain since the last time North Korea got a aid package from the United States and others they went on to actually building the nuclear weapons that got us to this point. Surely, you remember that aid package that Bill Clinton gave them in 1994?

Since Hillary prides herself on being, the most hands-on First Lady in the history of this country one can only guess her involvement with President Clinton’s decision to offer the carrot to the North Korea. With her latest suggestion it seems that she wishes to advance her ideas on the back of her husband, but don’t feel bad for Bill she even made the claim that her husband’s policy of giving the North Koreans whatever they wanted was more successful then anything President Bush has tried to date. Too bad that a 1999 congressional report stated that the North Koreans immediately broke their promise and started working on nuclear weapons early in 1995.

In 2004, Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright explained that Kim Jong Il had tricked her and her colleagues. I am sure that admission will go a long way towards comforting the families of U.S. servicemen and women if that psycho running that poor country decides to launch a nuke at the DMZ or any major city in South Korea. To this date neither Hillary nor Bill have anything to say about their failed attempt to buy off a madman. Now some will said that I am being unfair to Hillary in regards to the 1994 decision to try to pay their way to a solution, here after known as the French solution, but are we not to take Hillary at her word when she tells us that she was a full partner during her husband’s administration. Not to mention the fact that I am sure that when she runs for President next year this and many other topics will come up.

Given all that we know, now one would have to have serious second thoughts about trying to get the North Koreans to do what we want just by offering an aid package. I can only surmise that Hillary was asked to do the Op-Ed piece by Carl Levin many months ago and decided to help the old man from Michigan since he is a failure as a United States Senator. On the other hand, it could be that she just figures that in 2+ years until the next presidential election we will just forget about this position that she has taken or that her allies in the MSM will never make mention of this. I will make a prediction now that North Korea has agreed to return to the six nation talks, an agreement will be reached with great help from the Chinese and the South Koreans. After all, no one wants a crazy neighbor much less one with nuclear weapons. Perhaps Hillary should stick to things closer to home, like the 200,000 jobs that she promised the people of New York, and has yet to deliver, or even being re-elected. Harry Reid has even said that she may not be the best candidate for his party. Now that is the Harry Reid that we all hoped we would get when he became the minority leader. Folks, keep your eye on Hillary as she tries to remake herself in order to run for president. Let not your hearts be troubled, her voting record with always be with her and that will be her downfall. Have a great day everyone.

No WTF Rant, Just Some Thoughts On 7/7

As things continue to sort themselves out in London, many American Bloggers and I will continue to show our support for the people of Great Britain. For me it was very similar to the feelings and thoughts that I had on 9/11 and 3/11, that sick feeling in your gut as you wait for the other shoe to drop and hunt for information. I had slept in (actually forgot to set the alarm) despite heading to bed early, 11:30pm PST. If I had stayed up to my usual 2 or 3am, I might have pulled an all-nighter watching cable news as the shit hit the fan.

Once I got up, I checked the news alerts on my phone and found out that the shit had indeed hit the fan. As I was already late for work, I tried to cram in as much information as I can find on the internet and cable news. For my money, local news in the morning is worth as much as a liberal's opinion on anything that matters.

As I headed to pick up my carpool buddy, I scanned the news talk stations here in Phoenix. On my regular button number one station, they were talking to some activist about illegal immigration and sticking to their regular Fox and CBS radio news updates. I flipped over to the local Air America station and could not believe what I heard. Since I do not listen, on a regular basis I could not even tell you who the host was or who the guest he was interviewing might have been but their conversation shocked me and frankly made me sick.

The host and his guest were discussing the London terrorist attacks when the guest made the comment that folks in London should just "suck it up" and move on since thanks to the IRA they should be used to this kind of thing. The host happily agreed and moved on without so much as asking for a further explanation of what the guest exactly meant. Folks I wish I could say that this attitude was the exception rather then the norm from those on the left. If you have the stomach, visit Daily Kos or Democratic Underground. The unadulterated vile and hate that is oozing from these mentally ill people is revolting.

Consider this. If we are to follow the thought process of the guest on Air America about the British people being used to bombings then should not the Iraqis also be used to the daily bombing they are subjected to by the murderous terrorists in Iraq. After all these "brave freedom fighters" has stooped to primarily targeting Iraqi civilians and other innocents. No country or group of people should ever have to "get used" to homicide bombers and their kind. The thought that anyone would points directly to mental illness on the part of individual that holds that belief.

If not for the signs of over-whelming support from the many blogging communities, I would simply be ashamed by the response of the American left. Not all on the other side of the aisle stooped to such a low level of humankind and I applaud them for showing some decency. To all my visitors from Great Britain and Europe at large, you still have many friends in the world and you may count America among them. God Bless and you are in our prayers. This attack will not stand and the terrorists shall not win. Our fortitude is never stronger and these sub-humans will know the roar of the British Lion and the fist of Lady Liberty. Today's is along these lines as well so if you would like to listen to here, follow this link. Have a great weekend everyone.
