Beer For My Horses

Something about these lyrics from Toby Keith hints of some good old common sense. Sadly there is just too little of it going around these days. Enjoy..............

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we’ll sing a victory tune
We’ll all meet back at the local saloon
We’ll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds
We’ve got too much corruption, too much crime in the streets
It’s time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground
Send ’em all to their maker and he’ll settle ’em down
You can bet he’ll set ’em down ’cause

Love that song-Cao.

Mad Tech, you have inspired me to go out and purchase the entire Toby Keith catalog. I thought that he was just some blustering redneck jerkoff, but now I see that his poetry rivals that of the Bard. Thanks!!!

Thanks to all for your comments. I had something witty in response to Irate Savant, but then I visited his blog and realized that his header was actually correct. He is a bitter jaded person and we should have sympathy for anyone who takes the time to rip music lyrics.
Have a Happy New Year everyone.

It doesn't settle well with me. The Old West was hardly something you'd want to emmulate.
